A group of knife-wielding teenagers allegedly hit multiple suburbs across a Queensland city during a terrifying crime spree.

One father said he was traumatised after the gang allegedly targeted his home twice in the same night, the second time returning with weapons.

Queensland Police alleged the group of teenagers travelling in a stolen SUV went door to door, breaking into homes across eight suburbs in one night.

Security cameras at one of the properties, in Mount Lofty, allegedly captured the teens creeping through several rooms.

Two of them headed upstairs and several minutes later they appeared to emerge with thousands of dollars in electronics.

Police alleged the crime spree began just after midnight on Sunday, and spanned Mount Lofty, East Toowoomba, Cotswold Hills, Middle Ridge, Harlaxton, Kearneys Spring, and Glenvale.

The stolen SUV was allegedly taken from Middle Ridge, and one victim told 9News after the alarm was triggered at his Glenvale home, the group returned.

“They came back with the knife in their hands, one of the guys is a big guy, he came (to the) side window,” Gaurav Sachdeva said.

“I’m not worrying about myself, all I’m worrying about is my kids’ safety, that’s all,” he added.

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy yesterday and he was charged with more than a dozen serious offences.

Another five members of the group remain on the run and detectives said the gang targeted several other homes, this time in Rangeville and Westbrook, again today.
