Three men have been charged after a truck full of cannabis plants worth an estimated $180,000 was seized.
Following an investigation into a home in Enfield, in Sydney’s west, where cannabis has allegedly been grown, police yesterday tracked the rental truck and a sedan after they left the home.

The vehicles were stopped by officers in the nearby suburb of Belfield. Police say more than 120 cannabis plants were found in the truck.

Five men were arrested, three of whom have since been charged with a range of offences, including taking part in the commercial cultivation of cannabis.

All three were refused bail and will face Burwood Local Court later today.

The other two men have been released pending further inquiries.

In addition to seizing the truck, police also raided the home in Enfield.

“Almost 37 plants were seized along with dried cannabis,” police said.

“The plants seized have an estimated potential street value of $55,500.”
