Two men are sought after a machete was brandished during a bottle-o robbery at Wodonga in northern Victoria on the weekend.

Police believe two men approached a bottle shop on Melrose Drive, West Wodonga, at about 9.20pm on Saturday, February 24.

One of the men stole alcohol, before a staff member tried to follow him.

The second man threatened the employee with a machete, then stole a slab of beer.

Nobody was physically hurt.

The two men fled in a blue sedan.

Police are now seeking two men they believe may be able to assist the investigation.

The first man is described as Caucasian and was wearing a tan coloured baseball hat, black t-shirt and black shorts.

The second man was wearing a white coloured hoodie with motif, cream-coloured skinny jeans and black shoes.
