Amy Robach reportedly received a larger severance package than T.J. Holmes following the couple’s exit from Good Morning America over their scandalous affair.

The former GMA3 co-hosts both received handsome packages, but Robach, 50, is believed to have edged her new partner.

Both TV anchors were fired by ABC bosses last month after DailyMail.com revealed the married co-anchors were having an illicit off-screen affair.

The specific details of the settlement remain a closely guarded secret, but Robach is understood to have secured a bigger payout due to her increased presenting responsibilities and longer employment history with the ABC network.

The now unemployed duo had been spending time together in LA since their exit, but are now back in New York.

An insider told Page Six: ‘Amy’s been at ABC a lot longer and has a much bigger contract [than T.J.].’

Robach spent over a decade at the ABC network, while Holmes, 45, joined in 2014.

She was also considered to have a greater profile within the company than her new partner, and appears on more programs.

Robach co-hosted GMA3 alongside Holmes, but also appeared on magazine show 20/20 – a gig sources told Page Six she ‘worked really hard to get’.

The details of the pay-out are unknown but Page Six reported both Robach and Holmes are likely to have received what the remainder of their contracts were worth.

A Page Six source said: ‘It’s possible they could have gotten paid slightly more to sign an NDA — and to keep the peace.’

ABC bosses finally made a decision over the anchors’ future last month – some three months after DailyMail.com first reported the affair.

It was reported that Robach and Holmes were unable to reach an agreement with the network over their roles at Good Morning America but bosses said ‘several productive conversations’ were had.

The announcement of the pair’s sacking from the network followed in an email sent to ABC staff.

‘I want to share with you that we’ve reached a decision about T.J. and Amy,’ the email said.

The email to staff continued: ‘After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.’

‘I know that this has been a distraction for so many of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s because of you. I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.’

Privately, Robach and Holmes were reportedly accused by network bosses of not handling their romance appropriately and waiting too long to disclose it to executives.

Sources told DailyMail.com the network felt their ‘behavior on set’ was ‘uncomfortable’ for ABC staff.

The scandal also left both Holmes’ and Robach’s marriages in tatters.

A friend of the new couple said they are both now under a lot of pressure following their exit from ABC and their pending divorces.

‘It’s kind of proof of how committed they are to each other that they’ve weathered this sh**storm after their secret love affair was exposed,’ the source said.

‘They were suspended from GMA3 and then waited for agonizing weeks as ABC kept them in limbo about their future.

‘But don’t forget that T.J. and Amy were friends long before they were lovers. Their relationship began with an awfully strong bond that – to this point – has only become, well, more.’

Another DailyMail.com source said: ‘What the future holds for T.J. and Amy professionally is hard to say right now. Their on-air chemistry would probably be magnified and audiences would gravitate to them. But there still a lot of baggage there – especially for him.’
