Swimmer in his 40s attacked by a shark and seriously injured off one of Australia’s most scenic beaches

A man is reportedly missing in a remote part of the South Australian coast after being attacked by a shark on Saturday morning while surfing.
The man in his 40s was swimming near Elliston on the west coast of South Australia‘s Eyre Peninsula, roughly 650kms from Adelaide, when the attack occurred.
SA Ambulance services were called to help the man near a location called Walkers Rock around 10:15am on Saturday.
The man is currently unnaccounted for and police are said to be searching the waters in search of him.
There are fears that he is in a serious condition with life-threatening injuries.
