Tragedy strikes family for a second time as mother of murdered toddler is named as victim of horror smash

Tragedy has struck a Perth family for the second time after the mother of a murdered toddler, Robert Bodney, was named as a victim in a horror road crash.
Kerry Bodney, 31, has been identified as the passenger who died in a crash on Wednesday morning in Balga, northern Perth, which left four other passengers injured.
Ms Bodney’s two-year-old son, Robert, was shaken to death in 2012 by her then-partner.

Wayne Murray Narkle was sentenced to at least 15 years in jail in 2014 and warned he might never be released.
The crash happened on Mirrabooka Avenue near Beach Road in Balga about 11.40am on Wednesday.
Police say Ms Bodney was a passenger in a black BMW sedan driving east on Beach Road when it collided with another car travelling south on Mirrabooka Avenue.
Friends and family took to social media to share tributes after hearing the tragic news.
‘I can’t believe such a loving, beautiful person tragically taken so sad and heart-breaking,’ wrote Brenda Turvey.
‘I hope your son is waiting at the gates with open arms to greet his mum.’
