Ginger Herb Root: Health Benefits, Uses, Side Effects, And More

Ginger is a herbal supplement. It is a tropical plant that mainly grows in regions with warmer climates, such as China, India, and Africa. The root of the ginger plant is one of the staples in Indian kitchens where it is used as a spice and flavoring. It’s been a traditional remedy in many cultures for thousands of years. In Ayurveda, ginger and its roots are both used as a medicine and sattvic spice in two forms — fresh (adrak) and dried (shunthi). Ginger is also suitable for all three dosic constitutions of vata, pitta, and kapha.
