Drake (36) just can’t be stopped. Aubrey Drake Graham – as the rapper’s real name is – entered the music industry in 2006. Just three years later, he landed a hit with his single “Best I Ever Had,” which paved his way into the hip-hop and R&B world. With his countless hits, he is now an integral part of the music scene, which is now also proven by his streaming numbers. Drake has reached 75 million streams on Spotify and wants to be rewarded!
In his Instagram story, the rapper shared screenshots from the music platform with his fans that he had broken a new mark. The 36-year-old now wants to feel something of this success. “We should get bonuses like athletes to motivate future artists to be consistent and competitive,” the Hotline Bling hitmaker wrote, before addressing Spotify, “So feel free to [check] me in LeBron (38) size.”
Even if Drake is definitely at the music summit with his 75 million streams, he had to take a back seat last year: Bad Bunny (28) took the top spot in the streaming charts in 2022. This was followed by Taylor Swift (33), so Drake had to settle for third place.
