Out of all the LGBTQIA+ couples, one of the most elegant and charismatic couples has to be Cameron Esposito and her wife, Katy Nishimoto. 

Cameron Esposito’s partner, Katy Nishimoto, works as a Senior Editor in The Dial Press, a Publishing House founded in 1923 by Lincoln MacVeagh.

Before her work at The Dial Press, she worked on the agency line for ten years at WME (Endeavor Group Holdings).

Katy’s focus at Dial is finding stories that evoke feelings of joy and wonder as they explore the theme of seeking a sense of belonging in our bodies, families, and relationships, with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ+ writers.

As a board member of Baldwin for the Arts, a non-profit founded by Jacqueline Woodson, she also helps provide residency fellowships for artists of color.

Cameron Esposito’s wife, Katy Nishimoto, has edited several books throughout her career.

Butcher and Esposito exchanged vows on December 12, 2015, in a theatrical ceremony at The Hideout in Chicago, Illinois, Esposito’s birthplace.

However, they announced their separation in 2018, which was later documented in Vanity Fair and an article by Esposito in the New York Times on their pending divorce.

On July 16, 2020, Cameron used Instagram to post a photo of Katy and a birthday cake in honor of her partner’s special day.

Based on November 28, 2020, Instagram post, Katy was observed putting up lights on their home, suggesting that they probably started living together near that date.

On June 8, 2021, Katy Nishimoto and Cameron Esposito became newlyweds in a heartfelt ceremony.

Katy chose to wear her mother’s iconic wedding dress from 1983.

Cameron Esposito: Journey As A stand-up comedian

The comedy career of Cameron Esposito took off in Chicago, where she graced the stages of multiple local venues.

Cameron’s comedic talent has been showcased on TV shows, including “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Conan,” earning her the title of the comedian of the year from Consequence of Sound.

Her notable content creations include “Ask a Lesbian,” a BuzzFeed series she produced, and “Take My Wife,” a television show she co-created with River Butcher.

Esposito’s “Queery” podcast highlights queer luminaries, and in 2018 she released the stand-up special “Rape Jokes,” contributing $65,000 to RAINN through its viewing.

She has also co-hosted the stand-up comedy podcast “Put Your Hands Together” with Butcher. In 2020, Esposito released her memoir “Save Yourself.”
