Thunberg was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and selective mutism as a teenager.
In 2011, when Greta was eight years old, she learned about climate change and was perplexed as to why so little was being done to address it.
She became depressed over the scenario at 11, which caused her to stop talking and eating. She also dropped ten kilograms (22 lb) in two months.
Eventually, medical professionals diagnosed the environmental activist with the disorders mentioned above.
A phenomenon known as “the Greta effect” has been attributed to Thunberg’s influence on some of her school-aged peers.
She has taken an outspoken stance, prompting other politicians to agree that climate change must be addressed.

Greta Thunberg – Detained Briefly And Released
The Climate campaigner called on the German government to halt the growth of the coal mine in Lutzerath on 17 January 2023.
German Police detained Greta and other activists on Tuesday while protesting at the Garzweiler 2 opencast coal mine, about 9 kilometers from the settlement.
Police had previously given the group the go-ahead to potential detention if they didn’t move away from the mine’s edge.
Three Police officers picked up the young activist and held her at a distance from the edge of the mine while holding him by one arm. He was then led back toward the Police vans.
RWE, the owner of the mine, had negotiated with the government to demolish Lützerath in exchange for a quicker transition away from coal and for preserving five communities.
Following an identity check, officers freed the climate campaigner. The activists said Germany should concentrate on boosting renewable energy and stop mining lignite and brown coal.
Speaking to the 6,000 activists who marched toward Luetzerath on Saturday, the Swedish environmental campaigner described the mine expansion as a “betrayal of present and future generations.”
“Germany is one of the worst polluters in the world,” and Greta Thunberg demanded that it be held responsible.
