Pete Wentz is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who became famous as the lead singer of the rock band Fall Out Boy. Before the band, he was a member of the metalcore band Arma Angelus, and after that, he was a member of Black Cards. Although better known as Pete Wentz, the singer was born in 1979 as Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III in Wilmette, Illinois. He is of English and German descent and grew up with his younger siblings Hillary and Andrew.
For his education, Wentz attended New Trier High School and then went to the North Shore Country Day School. Although music was his first love, he was also an athletic child when he grew up, he played soccer in school and became an all-star. Eventually, he considered a sports career but later decided that he would find more fulfillment as a singer.
In his early years in high school, Wentz played hooky with friends to smoke marijuana, but because he realized that it affected his grade, he quit. After high school, he went to DePaul University where he studied political science but did not graduate because he decided to drop out of school shortly before graduation to concentrate on his musical career with the band Fall Out Boy.
Before joining the band, Pete Wentz was first active in various hardcore punk bands in the 1990s, including the First Born in 1993, the indie hardcore band Birthright, Extinction, Arma Angelus, Yellow Road Priest, and Racetraitor. But it wasn’t until the Fall Out Boy, which he founded together with Joe Trohman, that he became famous.

The band released an EP, Fall Out Boy/Project Rocket Split EP in 2002, and Take This to Your Grave in 2003. From then on, the band released 6 more albums, the most recent, Mania, was released in 2018, and from 2010 to 2012, when the band took a break, Wentz formed and became part of the Black Cards along with others like Bebe Rexha, Nate Patterson and Spencer Peterson.
Although, as mentioned above, he had great success as a singer, he also has some health problems caused by bipolar disorder from which he has been suffering since he was eighteen years old. In 2015 he attempted suicide by taking an overdose of the anxiety drug Ativan. After the incident, he spent one week in the hospital.

Pete’s parents are Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz II and Dale Wentz. While his father was a lawyer, his mother was a high school admissions counselor. They are said to have met in the 1970s during a campaign for former Vice President Joe Biden, who ran for Senate.
At the 2006 MTV VMAs, Pete Wentz met singer Ashlee Simpson, and soon after, the two began to meet. In 2008, she was seen wearing a diamond ring, which she exposed as a promise of Wentz. A few months later the two announced their engagement, only to marry less than a month after the confirmation of the engagement in May 2018.
The couple’s first child, Bronx Mowgli, was born by Ashly in November 2008. Although Wentz believed that his marriage would be forever because his parents stayed together, it was not to be, as Ashlee filed for divorce from Wentz in 2010 due to irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized the same year.
In the fall of 2011, he entered into another relationship with the Meagan Camper model. In 2014 they announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child together. The child arrived as Saint Lazslo in August of the same year. The next time they announced on Instagram that they were expecting a child was in January 2018, and in May Camper gave birth to their second child, Marvel Jane Wentz. Although the couple lives happily together with their children, there is no talk of marriage yet.
