Antonio Rudiger has shared that Eden Hazard is the best he ever played alongside at Chelsea.
Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger, 30, spent five years at Stamford Bridge as a Blues player between 2017-22.
He played alongside some top-class teammates at Stamford Bridge, including overlapping with attacking sensation Eden Hazard for the first couple of years. Incidentally, they ended up in the same dressing room together again years later in Madrid.
Now retired, 33-year-old Hazard was at his very best in Chelsea colours. In particular, he bowed out of west London with a stunning individual campaign in the 2018-19 season under Maurizio Sarri’s management.
Rudiger has paid a huge tribute to his former colleague in a recent interview.
When asked if Hazard is the best player he’s ever played with, Rudiger told GOAL’s Front Three YouTube channel: “For that time [at Chelsea], he was definitely the best I’ve played with. He was unplayable.”
Unplayable Eden Hazard
Just like most of Hazard’s peers, Rudiger has showered him with tremendous praise.
