“AKA Killers Arrested” is what every AKA fan wants to hear right now. The rapper was shot dead in cold blood a few days ago.
AKA is a South African rapper known for his lyrical rapping style. He quickly gained recognition after releasing “Victory Lap” a single from his debut studio album, “Alter Ego” in 2010.
AkA’s real name was Kiernan Jarry Forbes. Forbes was also an amazing songwriter, actor, record producer, and audio sound engineer. His contribution to the South African hip-hop culture is very hard to match for other artists.
Forbes was featured as a special guest on WWE Live events held in Johannesburg and Cape Town in April 2018.
AKA was shot dead outside a restaurant on February 10, 2023. He died in Durban on a Friday night at 10pm.

Rapper AKA Killers Arrested Or Still On The Loose?
No, the killer of rapper AKA is still not arrested and still on the loose. The South African rapper was murdered in cold blood and there hasn’t been a single arrest.
His family and fans are concerned about the whole thing as it looks like the case is too complex. According to the the South African police, the rapper’s killer is an assassination.
It is also reported that two men have been identified as suspects was observing the CCTV footage. Police in KwaZulu-Natal said that two armed suspects approached the victim and shot him in close range.
The police said, “The suspect are reported to have fled from the scene on foot. Both victims were declare dead at the scene. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this stage and police investigation are ongoing,”
Holmuka, the chairperson of the provincial justice crime prevention and security cluster(JCPS) said,”We cannot surrender the freedom and safety of our people to criminals.
What we are witnessing in our province is totally unacceptable and police has assured us that they are working around the clock to arrest these criminals. We are confident that the police will win this battle,”
Rapper AKA Killed- Case Details
To put the case in clear perspective, On Friday night while the rapper was coming out of the Wish restaurant at around 10pm in Florida road, Durban two men killed him.
He was shot multiple times. He was not the only some to die in that incident. His close friend, chef Tibz Motsoane, also died as he was with the rapper at the time. It is reported that the shot was for the rapper but it might have mistakenly hit his friend instead.
He was in Durban to perform at a night club called YUGO as a part of his birthday celebration. He died on the scene. While the investigation is still going on and few suspects are soon to be identified, AKA’s father has requested his fans to stop any rumors about the incident.
He was not just a celebrity in South Africa but he was celebrated globally. He had posted about his upcoming album before hours before he was killed. The album was set to release later this month.

AKA or Kiernan jarryd Forbes was born on 28 January 1988 in a Christian family. He was very witty as child and liked playing with words.
Forbes made a hip hop group at the age of 14 called the ‘Entity’ in 2002. The group later received a nomination for a KORA Award in the Best African Hip Hop Category.
He started dating DJ Zinhle, a producer, in 2014. The couple got into a serious relationship and the have a daughter now. She was born in 2015.
Unfortunatley, the couple got separated after it was rumored that he was cheating the mother of his child with television presenter Bonang Matheba. But both Forbe and Matheba deny this rumor.
