A Jacksonville landmark Lil Duval learned a valuable lesson after a terrifying encounter landed him in the hospital in July.
On July 27, the performer, whose actual name is Roland Powell, shared a video on social media showing himself being brought away on a gurney.
Powell said he was hit by a car while riding a four-wheeler, breaking his leg. He was airlifted to Nassau for surgery.

The event resulted in serious injuries, including a shattered hip. The collision’s details are yet unknown. It has been released, and the Royal Bahamas Police Force has made no public remarks about it.
Duval claimed he came by First Coast News on foot before heading to TIAA Bank Field to watch the Jaguars face the Chargers on Saturday. A sign that he’s feeling a lot better.
When asked how he kept motivated after the accident, he stated, “I always knew I had love, but only the love from the business… The support.”
He believes his recovery would demonstrate to others that they can overcome adversity. “I believe God used me as a vehicle to teach others that you can do everything you set your mind to,” he explained.
Lil Duval Injury And Health Update
Lil Duval was evacuated to a hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, for initial treatment following the automobile crash.
He was then transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital in South Florida for additional medical attention and surgery.
While Lil Duval emphasized that he suffered a fractured hip rather than a broken leg, the accident predominantly damaged his hip.
‘Someone struck me in their automobile when I was riding my four-wheeler,’ he stated in the caption. Now my leg is broken, and I must be airlifted to Nassau for surgery.’
‘I appreciate everyone checking in. It’s on me, but don’t be offended if I don’t answer the phone when you call,” Duval tweeted. I’m highly messed up and can’t move because I’m in pain.’
‘His health is steady, and he is presently being evacuated from Nassau to Jacksonville, FL, to be treated at a local hospital with the capability and equipment to do the required surgical procedures for recovery.’
According to Duval, doctors were surprised because he had no internal bleeding despite being “struck by a car traveling full speed.” Apart from the shattered hip, Duval has a severe cut above his left forehead that will most certainly scar.
