Arshad Sharif Death: How Did He Die
On October 23, 2022, Sharif was shot and killed by police in Nairobi. The police said that the shooting was a case of “mistaken identity,” but people on social media thought that he had been assassinated.

Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) was shocked by Sharif’s death and asked for an investigation. Kamran Khan, a journalist, asked the government questions on Twitter and asked the Prime Minister to “take the nation in confidence.”
“Heartfelt condolences. He and you are in our thoughts and prayers,” wrote former Pakistan envoy to the US, Husain Haqqani.
