Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has a bit of a dilemma after his side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad yesterday.
Mauricio Pochettino has mostly used Levi Colwill at left-back this season, but after injuries to Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile, he was forced to use the 20-year-old in central defence.
Colwill is, of course, naturally a centre-back, so the above was not exactly a doomsday scenario for the Chelsea boss.
In the end, playing Colwill in central defence worked out pretty well, so it will now be interesting to see what Pochettino does going forward.

Mauricio Pochettino should keep Levi Colwill in central defence
Based on his performance against City alone, Colwill should remain at the heart of Chelsea’s back four.
Alongside Axel Disasi, he was excellent and played a big part in limiting the Premier League and European champions to just one goal.
According to WhoScored, Colwill made 10 clearances in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad. Only Disasi made more after recording 16.
The English youngster also blocked two shots, the third most in his team. Overall, it was a solid performance from him.

A new headache for Mauricio Pochettino, but a good one
Silva has been Chelsea’s first-choice left-sided centre-back this season, with Badiashile recently coming in for him before picking up an injury.
It is an area of the pitch where the Blues have options, so Pochettino may have a bit of juggling to do there between now and the end of the campaign.
If Silva leaves when his contract expires in the summer, it will make things a bit easier for the Argentine, who will only have to choose between Colwill and Badiashile, unless the club sign a new centre-half.
For now, it is a bit of a dilemma, but it is certainly not the worst problem to have. Pochettino has three very good options for that left centre-back position, with Colwill reminding him that he is in fact an option despite spending most of the season at left-back.
