If Chelsea want a striker who does not need to be spoon-fed chances to score, then Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic could be their man.
Chelsea are actually being linked with a move for Dusan Vlahovic as they look to bring in a new No.9.
The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season, which is a good return. However, what is really impressive is the fact that Vlahovic is overperforming his xG by 0.75, according to WhoScored.
His xG in Serie A is actually 14.25, yet the Serbian has managed to find the back of the net on 15 occasions.
It is a good sign for Chelsea if they really do want to sign Vlahovic in the next transfer window.
Dusan Vlahovic could convince Chelsea to sign him
This is not the first time that Vlahovic has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Last summer, The Guardian claimed that Juventus actually offered their striker to Chelsea in a bid to sign Romelu Lukaku from the Blues.

Chelsea were obviously not fully convinced, though, as nothing happened in the end. However, if Vlahovic continues scoring goals this season, perhaps he could end up becoming a serious option for them when the transfer market opens again.
The Blues are expected to sign a new striker, with Victor Osimhen’s name constantly popping up. But with it being reported that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain will challenge them for the Napoli star’s signature, there is no guarantee that they will secure his services.
Lose the race for the Nigerian, and maybe Vlahovic becomes an alternative. We will have to wait and see, but one thing that is clear is the Serbia international is a quality forward who is in top form right now. He is not a name Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea should dismiss in their search for a No.9.
