Chelsea have recently been linked with one Brazilian striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
It has been claimed that Chelsea have Flamengo’s Pedro on a three-man shortlist of centre-forwards.
However, journalist Julio Miguel Neto has now poured cold water on that rumour on X.
According to Neto, Pedro’s entourage are unaware of any interest from Chelsea in their client.
However, if the Blues do want to sign the 26-year-old in the summer, he has a €60m (£51m) release clause in his contract, a report from O Dia claims. The same outlet has also stated, though, that Flamengo would be happy to start negotiations at €25m (£21m).
Pedro’s entourage unaware of Chelsea interest
It is not a shock to hear that Pedro’s people have not heard anything from Chelsea about interest in the Brazilian.
Simply put, he is just not going to be a top target for them as things stand. Later in the summer, if they miss out on Victor Osimhen, for example, then maybe he becomes an option.

The Napoli star appears to be the centre-forward who the club really want, and he would obviously be a more logical option than Pedro.
Osimhen has proven himself in Europe, unlike the Brazil international, who has had a brief spell at Fiorentina.
For Napoli, Osimhen has scored almost 70 goals in 119 appearances, which is a good return. He was quite productive during his time at Lille as well.
In 38 games, the Nigerian netted 18 times for the French club. Until Osimhen and other similar forwards are off the table, we cannot see Chelsea going after Pedro.
You cannot help but feel that Pedro would be a gamble for the Blues, who cannot afford any more after a couple of disappointing seasons under the club’s new ownership. Things could really improve for Chelsea on Sunday, though, if they manage to beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
