Chelsea have numerous different youngsters developing out on loan this season. In fact, one of them just enjoyed an excellent Saturday with a top performance for his current side.

There were plenty of Blues-owned players in action up and down the country during today’s 3pm kick-offs.

For example, Omari Hutchinson started Ipswich Town’s 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough. David Datro Fofana started for Burnley in their 1-1 draw versus Brighton.

Elsewhere, Alex Matos started for Huddersfield Town in their 1-1 draw with Bristol City. Also Harvey Vale started for Bristol Rovers in a 3-1 victory away to Cheltenham Town.

It’s actually Harvey Vale that has received big praise for his individual display at the weekend.

Vale, who’s enjoying a season-long loan with League One club Bristol Rovers, helped his club win on Saturday.

The 20-year-old English talent has played a variety of different positions this campaign, including as a full-back, attacking midfielder and winger. He actually starred versus Cheltenham Town this afternoon at left-back, though.

Local media praised the Chelsea loanee following Saturday’s efforts for 90 minutes.

Bristol Live wrote: “Harvey Vale – 8/10. Defensively superb. Again, Cheltenham were poor but you can only beat what’s in front of you and, going into the game, confidence was low amongst the team and the Robins are fighting for their lives.”

The stats support what was another great individual performance from Vale during his 44th appearance of the season for Bristol Rovers, who sit 15th position in League One.

He registered his sixth assist of the campaign for his team’s third goal. His defensive work at left-back included some great moments, too.
