Chelsea as a team have not been good this season, conceding eight goals in their last two games.
However, Simon Jordan singled out Thiago Silva for being particularly poor on talkSPORT yesterday.
Silva actually scored in Chelsea‘s 4-2 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers over the weekend, but he has also been part of a defence that conceded those eight goals against Gary O’Neil’s men and Liverpool.
This could be the central defender’s final season at Stamford Bridge, with his £110,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) expiring in the summer.

Simon Jordan slams Thiago Silva
Jordan has not been impressed with Silva, who has spoken a lot about his future lately and potentially not being at Chelsea next season.
On the Brazilian, the talkSPORT pundit said: “I look at Thiago Silva, he’s been poor. All I’ve heard from him is what he doesn’t want to do this season, how many games he thinks he shouldn’t have to play in.”
How poor has Thiago Silva been this season?
Honestly, we do not think Silva has actually been that bad, especially compared to the majority of his team-mates.

In a back four, he is perhaps not being as protected as much as he was when Chelsea were playing with a back three. However, his defending has still been top-notch on multiple occasions this term.
For example, in the Blues’ 3-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion back in December, the Brazil international made 10 clearances on the day, more than any other player on the pitch (WhoScored).
Without a doubt, there are many problems at Chelsea right now, but is Silva really one of them? If the above is anything to go by, then no. But with the club sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table and nowhere near the Champions League places, Silva and everyone else need to up their level.
