Mikel Arteta’s side have two wins, a draw and a defeat from their four friendlies so far this summer.

Arsenal will be buoyed by beating Barcelona 5-3 last time out as they return to north London to face Monaco – just four days before they play City in the 2023/24 season curtain-raiser.

The two sides are synonymous with Arsene Wenger and will meet for the 12th edition of the Emirates Cup, with Arsenal looking to claim their seventh title after thrashing Sevilla 6-0 last summer.

Arsenal vs Monaco: Team news

The Gunners are struggling with several injuries, but record signing Declan Rice is set to recover from a knock that kept him out of the win over Barcelona.

Folarin Balogun and Oleksandr Zinchenko both face late fitness tests however, while Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga are longer absentees.

Monaco are expected to be without Axel Diasi as he closes in on a £38.5million switch to Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 side are also set to be without Breel Embolo as he continues to struggle with injury.
