My Kitchen Rules stars Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton revealed on Sunday that their car was broken into in a terrifying home invasion caught on camera.
The couple, who have been married for 15 years, revealed that the incident took place just hours after their toddler daughter Poppy Grace’s funeral on Thursday.
Poppy Grace tragically died last week after a battle with leukaemia. She was just 20 months old.
In an Instagram post on the weekend, Carly and Tresne shared CCTV footage of the robbery, which happened in the early hours of Friday morning, and said they ‘feel really unsafe’ in their own home.
The thief broke into their yard and took money from their car, but failed to get inside their home.

‘Hello darlings. We’ve only just dragged ourselves from bed and we really want to thank you all for your incredible kindness after Poppy’s special send-off on Thursday. We love you all so so much,’ their post began on their joint Instagram account.
‘Unfortunately on the night/morning after at 3:30am our car was broken into and a young man attempted to come into our house. He only took money from our car but we are feeling sick that this person entered our space. After sleeping for months in hospital with plenty of our J1 nurses/family around, we just feel really unsafe.’
They added that they have filed a police report but shared the footage in a bid to try and find out the identity of the thief.

‘He only took money from our car but we are feeling sick that this person entered our space. After sleeping for months in hospital with plenty of our J1 nurses/family around, we just feel really unsafe,’ they wrote on Instagram
They finished: ‘We’ve filed this report with the police, but if you could share this post so we might be able to find this young man we would be so grateful. Big love and thanks to you all xoxoxox.’
Underneath, their followers were in disbelief and said the pair don’t deserve what happened to them after losing their daughter.
‘This is awful. You both have already been through absolute agony and I cannot believe this person has the decency to even do this. I am sorry. It’s a yucky feeling having your space intruded. Sharing this now x,’ one follower wrote.
‘You don’t deserve this! I hope he is caught and pays the price,’ another added.
‘This is disgusting! What low lives. I’m lost for words. You don’t need this on top of everything. I hope by everyone sharing, these people are found and dealt with. Been thinking of you both all week xx,’ another said.

Last week, the pair announced the sad news their baby daughter Poppy Grace had died at just 20 months old.
The couple, who had been documenting their journey raising a sick child, told their Instagram followers their baby girl had lost her battle with leukemia.
The posted a photo of their child on their joint account, and wrote: ‘This morning we lost our precious baby Poppy Grace.
‘True to form she fought tooth and nail until her final breath. Her leukaemia took over and at her last bloods the blasts were 787,000. That fighting spirit was so prominent right throughout her battle and it was so evident in the last four traumatic days.
‘Poppy showed us what it is to be grateful and happy with whatever cards you are dealt.
‘She made the most of her time on Earth, dancing, giggling and smiling right until days from the end. She was loving and funny and nurturing. She was clever and empathetic.
‘She had a heart of gold and she shone so brightly, oozing joy. We felt honoured to be her mums and we didn’t take a second of that for granted, not a second.
‘She taught us so very much in her short 20 months and we have never experienced a love as all encompassing.’
The mothers said they were ‘so sorry’ to share the news with their followers, some of whom had donated blood, money and gifts to their daughter, and others who were living with leukaemia.
Carly and Tresne set up a Lifeblood donation group in Poppy’s name, where their followers can come together to donate blood and hopefully help sick adults and children like Poppy.
‘We will rise up again for Poppy. We don’t know what that looks like yet – we are lost and our purpose is gone.
‘But we’ll be back soon and we will live life to the fullest in her honour. There is good to be done from the experiences we have had, there is lots to share and many ways we can make the lives of oncology kids and their parents better.
‘Until then we will rest so we can rise up for our Poppy, forever 20 months old.’
