A lot of Chelsea players should be feeling good about themselves right now.

The majority of this campaign has been disappointing for Chelsea, but Mauricio Pochettino‘s men have really turned things around recently.

They thrashed West Ham United 5-0 over the weekend, which followed their 2-0 win against another one of their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

It has now taken Chelsea to seventh in the Premier League table, meaning that they are on course to qualify for European football next season.

The Blues have quite a few players to thank for their upturn in form.

Scott Minto impressed with Chelsea man

One Chelsea star who has really done his part lately is Nicolas Jackson.

He scored two goals against West Ham and netted in the win versus Tottenham the match before that.

Former Chelsea defender Scott Minto thinks Jackson and his teammates are now starting to look comfortable playing for one of English football’s biggest clubs.

Discussing the 22-year-old on talkSPORT, he said: “These players are beginning to feel comfortable wearing a Chelsea shirt.

“Nicolas Jackson, you can say for all the stick that he’s had and he’s certainly missed some chances, the FA Cup semi-final springs to mind among a few others, he’s hit 16 goals this season. That’s not a bad return for someone who’s come in and wasn’t expected to be necessarily the No.1.”

How many goals will Nicolas Jackson finish the season on?

In the Premier League, it is not impossible that he reaches the 15-goal mark, which would be really impressive for a young striker who only arrived in the division last summer.

Jackson, who cost Chelsea £32m, is already on 13 and has three games to play.

A brace against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, for example, gets him there. That really should be the Senegal international’s target, but even if he does not reach that, it has still been a pretty good campaign for him all things considered.

Jackson could have more goals to his name; he has missed a lot of chances this season. But 13 in 32 is not a bad return at all.
