Cole Palmer has now shared what his personal best moment has been since he made the move to Chelsea last summer.

He told the Club’s Twitter page what his finest moment has been in an interview where he was awarded his EA Sports FC 24 ‘Future Stars’ card and rating.

Palmer has been a revelation since joining the club in what has essentially been his first season as a true professional at first team level. He has 12 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

His brace in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg helped them reach the final, where they will face Liverpool on Sunday at Wembley.

The 21-year-old will be the first name on the teamsheet for Mauricio Pochettino for that game, in a side where he has a number of key decisions to make in order to pick a side that can help him win his first trophy in English football.

The two goals in the match at Stamford Bridge are one of a few notable moments the England international has enjoyed this season, however his personal favourite is one that Chelsea supporters are likely to disagree with.

He said: “Probably scoring at Old Trafford.”

Palmer scored a goal that at the time brought the Blues level against Manchester United, however they went on to lose 2-1 after putting in one of their weakest team performances of the season.

The result saw some lose faith in the manager, with him needing to do a lot to turn things round with some sections of the Stamford Bridge faithful.

He does seem to have gone about this the right way, putting together a string of good performances that have actually coincided with some positive results as well.

The litmus test for many though will be Sunday, and he will be relying on Palmer to provide the magic he so often has.
