Emma Raducanu has stepped out of the limelight as she goes on her journey back to full fitness.
But her latest Instagram post reveals she’s taken going under the radar to a whole other level, going incognito on her way to rehab for her injuries.
The 2021 US Open champion has had a tricky few years since her famous victory, falling out of the top 100 in the rankings this year and missing this year’s French Open and Wimbledon through injury.
In May, the 20-year-old confirmed she’d have a minor procedure done on both hands and her ankle, all injuries she’d been struggling with since last summer.
The tennis star appears to be remaining in good spirits despite being on the sidelines and going through rehab for her injury, though.
Posting a snap on Instagram of a t-shirt reading ‘progress’ – presumably pointing to her healing from her procedure – Raducanu also posted another hilarious photo of her with sunglasses and a hoodie on on a packed out bus, clearly trying to disguise herself.
“A week of what the t-shirt says,” Raducanu wrote on Instagram alongside a photo dump of her recent snaps.
“Daily workouts with rush hr commutes meant i cheated on colin.”
Raducanu has previously been spotted with M&S’s iconic Colin the Caterpilla in sweet form.
But this time the tennis star posted a photo of the cake version – although it looks like she opted for Sainsbury’s Wiggles the Caterpilla instead amongst her busy schedule.
No matter which Caterpilla cake Raducanu gets though, if it helps get one of British tennis’s most promising stars back to her best, we’re sure M&S won’t mind.
