Noha Akugue

Noha Akugue is a professional tennis player from Germany who is currently competing in the Hamburg European Open. She has reached the final and will face Arantxa Rus from the Netherlands on July 29, 2023, at 1:30 pm German time.

Noha is known for her impressive tennis skills and is close to winning the women’s singles title in the tournament. She made her debut on the Worldwide Top-tier Tennis Tour (WTA) at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in 2021, where she played in the doubles competition alongside Julia Middendorf.

As of July 2023, Noha is ranked world no. 197 in WTA singles and no. 217 in doubles.

Noha was born on December 2, 2003, in Reinbek, Germany. She is the oldest child of her father, Ronald Obazelu, and her mother, Miria Akugue.

Noha’s father, Ronald, used to be a boxer and participated in many tournaments. However, he retired from boxing early to focus on supporting his daughter’s career.

Her mother, Miria, takes care of the family and makes sure that the decisions made by her husband and children are good ones.

Noha’s parents are originally from Nigeria and moved to Hamburg, Germany, before she and her siblings were born. They wanted to provide a better life and a bright future for their family in Germany.

Now, at just nineteen years old, Noha Akugue is making a name for herself in the world of women’s tennis. She is one of the youngest and most promising players in the game.

Barbara Rittner, Noha Akugue’s coach, occasionally trains her in the skills and techniques needed to excel in tennis matches. Rittner is impressed every time she sees Noha play on the court.

Noha Akugue belongs to Nigerian descent, and her parents were from Benin. Nigeria.

Although Noha bears German citizenship and nationality, her roots and culture are of Nigerian culture and tradition. Similarly, her heart has a special place for African rituals, foods, and costumes.
