Chelsea fans got a glimpse of what Mauricio Pochettino will be expecting from his players thanks to a touchline camera.

The Blues tracked their new coach throughout his first game as manager which saw a 5-0 win over Wrexham in pre-season.

It was a solid start for the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager, who relied heavily on youngsters against the newly-promoted League Two team.

Dutch 21-year-old Ian Maatsen scored a first-half double before Pochettino brought on experience for the second 45, and watched Conor Gallagher, Christopher Nkunku and Ben Chilwell all score.

However, it was Pochettino’s advice to the younger group of players that will have caught fans’ attention.

Two players on his right touchline were given special advice, with right back Malo Gusto and winger Diego Moreria guided through the game.

Pochettino could be telling French defender Gusto “Go to press, come on Malo! Yes,” and shortly after he was rewarded with a goal.

There was similar attention paid to Moreira, who was told: “Now yes. Good Diego, now yes! Now perfect, wait there. Wait there, wait there. Now Diego! Now!”

Throughout the feature from Chelsea, Pochettino showed his keenness to make the pitch as big as possible.

Instructing his wingers to stay out wide, he later told summer signing Angelo Gabriel to stick to the task.

“Angelo, you need to keep on the right,” he said. “Because if you cut inside it’s so difficult, you have no space to play, okay?

“Sometimes it will be tough to play together, sometimes you are too far away, sometimes you are too close like a second striker.”

Pochettino was then seen giving Angelo advice away from the group, showing his intent to give youngsters their chance in the team.
