Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson should be pleased with his performance in his side’s 4-2 win against Leicester City.

Nicolas Jackson did not score; however, the 22-year-old set up the opening goal and got Callum Doyle sent off in the second half.

There was one moment in the first 45 minutes, though, where Jackson was not happy because of one of his team-mates. And Martin Keown, who was commentating on the game for BBC One, picked up on it.

The Senegal international would have been smiling at full-time, though, with Chelsea booking a trip to Wembley for the second time this season.

Jackson has looked really bright of late, but talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara still cannot see him ever becoming a world-class forward.

Nicolas Jackson frustrated with Axel Disasi

Keown noticed Jackson going crazy after Axel Disasi played the ball sideways instead of into him during one moment in the first half.

While on commentary duty, the former Arsenal defender said: “Just another example there, Disasi not getting the ball out of his feet. Jackson’s going berserk because he wants it in the channel.”

Not Chelsea’s best performance

Chelsea were able to put four past Enzo Maresca’s side, yet it really was not the most convincing display by Mauricio Pochettino‘s team.

Disasi’s performance today kind of epitomises that. The Frenchman scored a horrific own goal, though he was quickly forgiven by team-mate Robert Sanchez.

The fact that Chelsea conceded twice also shows that it was not the perfect game. They were very open at times, making the encounter an end-to-end one.

The most important thing is Pochettino’s men got the job done. However, if they want to go one step further than they did in the Carabao Cup and win this domestic cup, the team are going to have to be way more solid in the next round and the final if they can get there.
