There were a lot of changes in the goalkeeper department at Chelsea last summer, and there could be more to come.
Chelsea brought in Robert Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion and allowed Kepa Arrizabalaga to join Real Madrid on loan.
They also signed Djordje Petrovic from New England Revolution, and he has been the Blues’ No.1 since the injury Sanchez picked up in December.
The Spaniard has since returned to action, starting in the 4-2 FA Cup quarter-final win against Leicester City, a decision talkSPORT pundit Andy Jacobs could not understand.
Despite buying two new goalkeepers last summer, Chelsea are now being linked with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has an update on his situation at the Emirates, which may interest Blues supporters.

Chelsea could have chance to sign Aaron Ramsdale
Romano has claimed on Substack that Ramsdale will explore his options in the transfer market this summer, which could be good news for Chelsea.
The Italian journalist says ‘he can’t stay’ in north London due to David Raya becoming Mikel Arteta’s first-choice goalkeeper.

After starting all 38 of Arsenal’s Premier League games last season, Ramsdale has only been named in his manager’s first XI six times this term.
One report from talkSPORT at the end of last year suggested that a £50m bid would have been enough to get the Englishman out of the Emirates during the January transfer window.
Would Aaron Ramsdale be an upgrade on Robert Sanchez?
When you look at the stats, Chelsea would probably be getting a better keeper than Sanchez by signing Ramsdale.
As per FBref, Ramsdale’s save percentage was 70.6% in the Premier League last season, leaving him just outside of the top 10 shot-stoppers for that particular category. Sanchez, on the other hand, recorded a percentage of 66.2%.
With Petrovic currently the first-choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge, you would suspect that Ramsdale would be coming in to replace Sanchez if bought.
It would be a surprise, though, if Chelsea made signing Ramsdale a priority. Looking at Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad, there are more pressing matters.
For example, left-back looks to be a huge issue right now with the amount of injuries Ben Chilwell has been picking up.
While Nicolas Jackson has managed to score in Chelsea’s last couple of league games, the Blues are also in need of another centre-forward. One injury to the Senegal international, who is still not the finished article at 22 years of age, and Pochettino’s men could find themselves in real trouble.
