Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that one manager who Chelsea are reportedly keen on is now open to a move elsewhere.
He told CaughtOffside that Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim is considering a move to a top club in the near future after doing a fine job in Portugal.
Amorim has been a name on the reported shortlist at Stamford Bridge for some time now, as they have continued to chop and change managers since the new owners came in.
Reports in recent days have stated that the Blues are already looking at potential replacements for Mauricio Pochettino, with pressure firmly back on him.
The Argentine saw his wait for a trophy in England go on at the weekend as his Chelsea side were defeated late on by Liverpool in the EFL Cup final at Wembley.
Amorim is one of the names in particular that has been mentioned that is still admired by figures at Stamford Bridge.
Amorim open to move
Romano has now claimed that he is certainly open to considering moving on from Sporting sometime soon.

He said: “As for Amorim links, it’s a possibility for him to leave Sporting Lisbon in the summer, yes. It’s not guaranteed yet but he’d be open to considering top clubs as he’s already done an excellent job at Sporting in the recent years.
“At the moment he’s not in direct contact with any club, but he’s appreciated in England for sure.”
If the Blues were to hire Amorim, they would instantly have one of the best second opinions possible on one of their potential striker signings.
They are reportedly fans of Viktor Gyokeres, who is currently the top scorer in Europe this season under Anorim’s coaching in Lisbon.
A glaring review could see him made the number one priority when this season comes to an end.
