Paddy McGuinness has the bizarre tale which saw him take three Brazil legends to Greggs on their way to Soccer Aid.

Ronaldinho, Cafu and Dida are just three of the most iconic stars to have ever graced a football pitch.

The trio were all part of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning squad, with Cafu also lifting the iconic trophy in 1994.

They all made appearances at Old Trafford for Soccer Aid in 2016 where former stars and celebrities come together each year to play a football match to raise money in aid of UNICEF UK.

Ronaldinho, Cafu and Dida were in the Rest of the World squad that year and, despite needing to prepare for the match, they took a detour to Greggs en route.

McGuinness, who played for the England side said on Drive: “I once took Ronaldinho, Cafu and Dida for a Greggs.

“Knutsford services, so on the day of the game England travel on the coach and the Rest of the World on theirs.

“Then you all get together and sometimes, someone will throw a ball out and do keepie uppies, have a little impromptu kick-about on the car park.

“Ronaldinho had just flown in from a weekend away with Mike Tyson in Las Vegas, so you can imagine the state he was in. He was absolutely like space cadet and I thought, ‘Here’s my chance’.

“I’ve not long finished the deal at Greggs, I’ve thought, ‘I’m back, the door’s open, bringing them part of the best Brazil squad ever!'”

Ronaldinho was in Sin City with boxing legend Tyson for the filming of the ‘Kickboxer: Retaliation’ movie, with the former playing the character Ronaldo, and the latter Briggs.

However, the busy weekend didn’t seem to faze Ronaldinho one bit as he showed off his world class ability to Soccer Aid fans.

During the first half, he went on a trademark run and nutmegged TV presenter Ben Shephard before doing the same to former England international Phil Neville just seconds later.

He played the full 90 minutes and also won his side a penalty after being fouled in the area by none other than McGuinness himself.

Cafu and Dida were both able to keep clean sheets in their first half appearances but, even with two goals from Dimitar Berbatov, it wasn’t enough to help guide the Rest of the World to victory.

England were 3-2 winners on the night, with former Tottenham star Jermain Defoe scoring twice after Mark Wright’s stunning free-kick.
