TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has been speaking about Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling.

Right now, Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling are having quite contrasting seasons at Chelsea.

While the former is thriving, the latter has struggled at times, especially of late.

Palmer has scored 11 goals in the Premier League, while Sterling has managed just six.

The 29-year-old was booed off in Chelsea’s 4-2 FA Cup win against Leicester City just before the international break.

What has Simon Jordan said about Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling?

While Jordan has been impressed with Palmer, the former Crystal Palace owner does not think Sterling has done much at Chelsea since joining from Manchester City in a £50m deal.

Speaking to Graeme Souness on talkSPORT about the duo, he said: “We’ve seen recently a couple of players leave Man City and join Chelsea in Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer with varying levels of success. Where are you on both those players?

“Both of them, potentially, will be making an argument for the Euros. I’m not so sure Raheem Sterling has pulled up any trees. I certainly think Cole Palmer has.”

Raheem Sterling can still help Chelsea on and off the pitch

It is true; this has not been Sterling’s best season. However, the England international can still bring a lot to this Chelsea team.

He remains a quick winger who can play on either flank, while the former City man has come up with some big moments this term, including scoring a couple of goals against his old side.

According to journalist Lolade Adewuyi, Sterling also had a role in young Nigerian striker Hafiz Umar Ibrahim taking up a trial at Chelsea.

Chelsea supporters may be beginning to run out of patience with their wide man, but he still has a lot of value. It remains to be seen, though, if he has enough for the club to retain him this summer. There has already been some talk about a potential move to MLS.
