The FA have confirmed they have charged Nottingham Forest star Harry Toffolo with alleged breaches of betting rules.
It is claimed the defender breached FA Rule E1(b) 375 times across three years from 22 January 2014 to 18 March 2017.
The 27-year-old was professionally at Norwich at the time, though he never made an appearance for them.
Instead, he had been loaned out to Swindon, Rotherham, Peterborough and Scunthorpe over the three-year spell.
The FA has given Toffolo until Wednesday 19 July to formulate a response to the charges.
A statement from the FA read: “Nottingham Forest’s Harry Toffolo has been charged with misconduct in relation to our betting rules.
“It’s alleged that the defender breached FA Rule E1 (b) 375 times between 22 January 2014 and 18 March 2017.
“Harry Toffolo has until Wednesday 19 July 2023 to provide his response.”
Toffolo would go on to leave Norwich permanently for Millwall in January 2018 only to be released that summer.
Subsequent moves to Lincoln and Huddersfield followed before signing for Forest in 2022.
The former England Under-20 international went on to make 21 appearances in all competitions as Steve Cooper’s side made a return to the Premier League.
It follows similar charges to Ivan Toney, who has been banned for eight months from all footballing activities.
The Brentford striker admitted 232 breaches of the Football Association’s betting rules.
As well as a lengthy ban, the England international also received a £50,000 fine and was diagnosed with a gambling addiction.
Toney will return to action in January in a huge blow to the Bees, where he scored a third of their Premier League goals last season.
Whether or not Toffolo will receive a similar punishment as the FA await a reply.
