talkSPORT’s Gabby Agbonlahor issued a hilarious plea for Steven Gerrard to sign him up at Al Ettifaq.
The Liverpool legend’s appointment at the Saudi Arabian side was confirmed on Monday, his third club as a manager so far.
Gerrard makes the switch to the Gulf state following previous stints at Rangers and Aston Villa.
The Liverpool legend is the latest big name in football to seal a move to the Saudi Pro League, with their mass influx of talent showing no signs of stopping.
One of the biggest stars to feature in the division is Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr at the beginning of 2023.
It appears as though Agbonlahor wants to join the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in Saudi Arabia, with the Villa legend crying for Gerrard to bring him to Al Ettifaq.
During a humorous plea on talkSPORT Breakfast, he said: “Stevie, it’s Gabby! Congratulations for taking over at Al Ettifaq, great move for a great manager.
“I’ve been a real spokesperson for the Saudi league and I think it’s time you repay me. I’m two years younger than Cristiano Ronaldo, I can punch harder than Ricky Hatton and will only cost half of Ruben Neves.
“Even as one of your coaches imagine me, my experience in the game, helping out your players with their speed, with their movement and shooting.
“I look forward to seeing what you offer Stevie, come on you Al Ettifaq!”
Agbonlahor and Gerrard never made an appearance together during their playing careers but had both featured in same England squads.
The former defended the latter’s decision to move to Saudi Arabia after his talkSPORT colleague Simon Jordan claimed the Liverpool legends reputation as boss is ‘in the toilet’.
Gerrard will be hoping to revitalise his managerial career following a dismal end to his stint at Villa that concluded in October.
Al Ettifaq finished seventh in the Saudi Pro League last season with Ronaldo’s Al Nassr coming second.
Al Ittihad, led by former Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, were crowned as champions last term.
