Chelsea are still currently talking with a youngster about him signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
There’s no doubt that the Blues academy has been pivotal to the club in the last couple of decades.
You only need to look at the current first-team squad to see that the likes of Reece James, Conor Gallagher and Levi Colwill are all academy graduates.
Unfortunately, Chelsea do still end up selling some of their youth talents. They have sold Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson in this summer window already.

Chelsea talks with Sam Rak-Sakyi continue
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has claimed via X on Thursday that Chelsea are still in talks with youngster Sam Rak-Sakyi about him signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
It is understood that the 19-year-old’s contract with the Blues expired at the end of June.
The teenage midfielder is currently weighing up his next step as Chelsea try to convince him to stay.
Apparently, the outcome of his future will be sorted soon.
Who is Sam Rak-Sakyi?
Rak-Sakyi has been with Chelsea’s academy since the age of eight.
The teenager has played for England at various age groups, plus he’s worked his way up the ladder at Chelsea.
He’s a central midfielder that played 10 games last season for the Blues Under-21s side. In fact, he showed the versatility to drop into defence at times as well.
