Chelsea have a lot of players out on loan this season.

Experienced footballers such as Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga secured temporary moves in the last summer transfer window.

Youngsters including Andrey Santos, 20, and Omari Hutchinson, also 20, left Chelsea on loan as well.

Hutchinson is definitely one player who will not be regretting his move after his success with Ipswich Town this term.

The winger helped Kieran McKenna’s side to win promotion to the Premier League, scoring in yesterday’s 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.

Chelsea youngster happy with his loan spell

Following Ipswich’s win against Huddersfield, Hutchinson spoke about his loan move to Portman Road.

The Jamaica international says it is the best loan spell he could have asked for.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Hutchinson said: “This is the best loan I could have ever imagined, asked for really.

“The boys have helped me so much and I’ve progressed so well from the start of the season until now. And I just want to thank everyone who’s been involved and helped me so far.”

Just how good was Omari Hutchinson for Ipswich Town?

He was easily one of their best players in the current campaign. Without him, they may not have earned automatic promotion.

Hutchinson, who was once described as “dangerous” by former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, made 44 appearances in the Championship and scored 10 goals.

It really was the perfect loan for the attacker, who got plenty of game time and managed to deliver when he was on the pitch.

The question now, is Hutchinson ready for Chelsea’s first team? From what he has shown at Ipswich this season, maybe he can be a squad player.

However, it may be best for the former Arsenal youth player to go out on loan again and get regular game time in the Premier League.

Whatever happens, it looks like Hutchinson could have a bright future at Stamford Bridge.
