Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has admitted that his future at the club remains unresolved this summer.
Last season, the Scottish international dropped down the Gunners’ left-back pecking order after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Tierney made 36 appearances across all competitions last term, but just 15 of those came as starts.
He has been linked with a sensational return to Celtic, who are keen to re-sign him this summer.
Newcastle and Manchester City have also been linked with a move, but the 26-year-old is unsure of where his future lies.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 2-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Manchester United, he said: “It’s not really up to me.
“I’ve not had any discussions with the manager and I’m just working hard every day and trying to do as well as I can.
“I didn’t miss a single game because of injury last season. I was available for every match and always ready when called upon.
“I think everyone would agree that I never give less than 100 per cent, whether I’m playing or not. You can’t play every single game every year and I don’t expect that.
“But I still made a lot of appearances last season coming off the bench, whether that was to see games out or help to get a goal, and I did all I could to help.”
Tierney came off the bench for Takehiro Tomiyasu in the defeat to United on Saturday night.
He also made appearances in Arsenal’s draw against Nurnberg and their victory over MLS All-Stars.
Zinchenko is Mikel Arteta’s preferred option at left-back, with Jakub Kiwior also playing there for their final two games of last season.
With Tomiyasu also operating in the role during pre-season, Tierney could very well be in line for an exit in the coming weeks.
