Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea future has recently come into doubt.

Following a difficult game against Leicester City in the FA Cup where he was booed, Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move to MLS.

It was truly a match for the winger to forget after he missed a penalty, wasted a one-v-one and blasted the ball out of Stamford Bridge from a free-kick.

While Chelsea supporters were not impressed, it also appears that England manager Gareth Southgate is not delighted with Sterling’s form either. He once again left the wide man out of his Three Lions squad.

TalkSPORT host Jeff Stelling has now made a prediction about where Sterling could end up if he does leave Chelsea in the summer.

Jeff Stelling on Raheem Sterling’s Chelsea future

Stelling cannot see any top English club going after Sterling in the next transfer window.

Rather, he thinks a move to the Bundesliga is more likely.

Discussing Sterling’s future on talkSPORT (25/03/2024 at 09:52), Stelling said: “I don’t see any of the top sides in this country taking a punt on him, maybe he would follow the likes of Harry Kane and Eric Dier and Jadon Sancho and end up in Germany, possibly.”

The England international has made 36 appearances for Chelsea this season and scored eight goals.

One English club could register an interest in Raheem Sterling

It is not impossible that Sterling attracts at least one top Premier League side if Chelsea decide to sell him in the summer.

Arsenal, managed by Mikel Arteta, who has worked with Sterling before at Manchester City, have been linked with the wide man in the past.

Last February, 90min claimed that Arteta was thinking about a reunion with Sterling at the Emirates.

Chelsea and Arsenal did business as recently as last summer, with the Blues allowing Kai Havertz to join their London rivals. That could be an avenue for Sterling to explore, though a lot of things would need to happen, like the Blues actually putting him up for sale, which is obviously not a guarantee.
