Manchester United have ‘ended’ their interest in signing Harry Kane having been reportedly priced out in their pursuit of the Tottenham star.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs this summer as he has just one year left on his current deal there.

The Guardian reports that the money it would take to lure the striker to Old Trafford is ‘unrealistic’.

The report adds that Man United boss Erik ten Hag is ‘disappointed’ the deal has fallen through but understands the club can’t go past a certain point when it comes to a transfer fee and the overall package for the 29-year-old.

Kane has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but Kylian Mbappe being a possible option could end any chance of the England captain making the move.

The Red Devils enjoyed a good season having won the Carabao Cup and finishing in the Premier League’s top four.

A new striker could help them become genuine league title contenders and with a Kane move seemingly no longer an option attention may turn to Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

talkSPORT understands Man United are ready to ramp up their interest in Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund, who scored nine goals in his debut Serie A season, too.

Denmark international Hojlund is understood to be valued at £40m by his club.
