Mauricio Pochettino faces the tough task right now of picking up a deflated squad who are off the back of a crushing defeat in the League Cup final.

After 120 gruelling minutes, changes will certainly be needed for the side who look to keep the run going in another cup competition.

They host a familiar foe from the past, with old rivals Leeds United making the trip to Stamford Bridge in serious form.

Chelsea Predicted XI

Djordje Petrovic was arguably player of the match against Liverpool as far as the Blues are concerned, and he will keep his spot in the side.

A rest for Malo Gusto is imperative at this stage, which will see youngster Alfie Gilchrist come into the side.

The cup final came too early for Thiago Silva, although Trevoh Chalobah has featured twice off the bench now, and will start against Leeds.

He will be partnered by Levi Colwill in order to keep a balance to the centre-back pairing.

On the left, Ben Chilwell will start and captain the side again after playing more than 90 minutes.

Not much choice for rotation in the midfield right now, meaning Moises Caicedo will be a player starting yet again for the Blues.

He will be partnered by Enzo Fernandez, who is likely disappointed with what he provided at Wembley yesterday.

Ahead of them, Cole Palmer will feature in a more central role after not having his best performance at the weekend.

Attack

Noni Madueke impressed in the FA Cup last time out, and will be handed the opportunity from the start on Wednesday.

The opposite flank will originally be occupied by Nicolas Jackson, who has been stronger coming in from wide in recent weeks.
