Mauricio Pochettino will almost certainly know who he is looking to start today in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

The Blues will be looking to break their Wembley duck later on today, and get themselves one step closer to a route into European football.

Pochettino will be lining up against a giant of European football that he has not actually lost to yet this season, playing out two very different but entertaining draws in the process.

Chelsea in FA Cup semi-final vs Manchester City

There would be a number of questions being asked about player selection, and who the manager looks to trust with a start.

There could certainly be an argument that he should play the exact same side that picked up their most comprehensive victory over Everton on Monday night.

The win against Everton was big for the goals scored, however it was equally impressive as it saw them pick up their first clean sheet in the best part of three months.

This was a welcome sign for goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, who has performed well but not had the statistics to back up his displays.

However, there are no assurances over his place in the squad today, with the FA Cup a competition he is yet to make his debut in as of yet.

Mauricio Pochettino has to start Djordje Petrovic over Robert Sanchez

Instead, Robert Sanchez has been allowed rare gametime in that competition, with it coming with mixed levels of success.

He was beaten from distance by his teammate Axel Disasi in a bizarre own goal against Leicester, and it is fair to say that he has not filled supporters with hopes whenever he has played.

With cup goalkeepers not being a rarity right now, Pochettino must not fall into the trap of relying on one and limiting his sides chances of winning the semi-final later today.

Petrovic has played well enough since coming into the side to warrant a start in what is one of the biggest games of the season.
