Mauricio Pochettino will have been delighted to get out of Stamford Bridge with a win under his belt earlier this week.

His Chelsea side were given some shocks along the way against an impressive Leeds United side, however they came away with a 3-2 win.

Pochettino looked to rotate where possible for the FA Cup match, however will surely bring back a number of his big hitters who missed out on starts before.

Here’s The Chelsea Chronicle’s Predicted XI to take on Brentford.

Chelsea Predicted XI

After missing his first game on 2024, Djordje Petrovic will return to the starting side for the London derby.

Malo Gusto featured all across the backline in the week, and will return to his preferred right-back role for tomorrow.

Trevoh Chalobah will keep his place at the back after really impressing his manager with his performance during the week. This will see Axel Disasi on the bench for the first time in a while.

He will be partnered by a returning Levi Colwill, making it an all-Cobham back line for the Blues.

On the left, Ben Chilwell will skipper the side again in the absence of Reece James. He will be hoping to return to his best after some tough recent displays.

Midfield

Moises Caicedo put in another strong showing in the week, and he will keep his place in the starting side.

He will be partnered by Enzo Fernandez, with Pochettino commenting that he didn’t really have any players to rotate them with at the moment.

Ahead of them, match winner Conor Gallagher will return to the starting side, where he has been so commonly under the current boss.

Attack

Cole Palmer was ill during the week, however will see himself back in the starting team following his award-winning week.

On the opposite side, Raheem Sterling will keep Mykhailo Mudryk out of the side despite his strong showing against Leeds on Wednesday.

Down the middle, Nicolas Jackson will look to continue his run after finding the net last time out in the FA Cup.
