Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was left angered on the touchline by one mistake from Ben Chilwell during today’s match against Manchester City.
That is according to journalist Bobby Vincent.
Chelsea come away from the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening with their heads held high after a 1-1 draw away to Man City in the Premier League.
The Blues camp should definitely be in good spirts going into next weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
It’s great to see Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, 27, get a run of games after getting over another injury.
Alongside the rest of the back four, the Blues captain was pretty busy versus Man City and made some great defensive contributions.
We would argue the £50m star’s (Sky Sports) distribution of the ball is one area of his game he can tidy up.
Apparently, he did receive a rollocking from Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino after one misplaced pass in the first-half. Chilwell missed a golden chance to set Raheem Sterling away on a counter-attack, but his attempted ball was cut out.

Journalist Bobby Vincent wrote on X: “Pochettino absolutely furious when Chilwell could not get the ball through to Sterling there. He has been a v animated figure on the touchline thus far.”
Ben Chilwell slowly getting back to his best
In our view, Chilwell’s still very much going through the gears. If he can stay fit for the rest of the season, we’re confident his levels will keep rising and he’ll get back to his peak levels.
It’s vital that the England defender stays fit right now as the only available out-and-out left-back. Yes, Levi Colwill can cover at full-back, but we’ve seen again this weekend he’s at his best when he plays at centre-half.
Hopefully, Blues teammate Marc Cucurella will soon be back to compete. Football.London claimed this week that Cucurella is back training on the grass as he steps up his injury recovery.
