Chelsea legend Eden Hazard has now shared which manager he thinks he played his best football under at Stamford Bridge.
He made the choice while talking to fellow former Blues star John Obi Mikel on the ‘Obi One’ podcast, and said that his best football did not necessarily coincide with when he had the most enjoyable experience on the training ground.
Hazard certainly has played under an elite set of managers during his time in West London.
Jose Mourinho, Maurizio Sarri and Champions League winner Roberto di Matteo all took charge of sides that had the pleasure of having the Belgian as part of their squad.
However, it was none of those who the winger named as the one he played his best football for.
Instead, the recently retired professional named Antonio Conte as the one who he enjoyed the most success personally under.
He said: “My best time at Chelsea was with Antonio Conte. The training was bad all week, so I knew on Saturday I need to do something. I want to enjoy myself a little bit! I knew the day after I’d be back on the training ground! That’s why I was so good!”

Hazard praises Conte
It seems as if the respect and admiration is mutual between the two, with the Italian recently coming out and saying that the Belgian was one of the best he has ever managed in an illustrious career.
The Blues won both the Premier League and the FA Cup in the two-year tenure he spent in West London, however his time at the club was cut short after failing to qualify for the Champions League that season.
Conte has gone on since to manage arch-rivals Tottenham, however that spell will largely be remembered as a bit of a lull after he was sacked late last season.
