Chelsea do not have to worry about Manchester City taking one of their reported targets yet.
AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is a player of interest to Chelsea, according to HITC.
However, there had been rumours about City also being keen and readying a huge €150m (£127.9m) bid for the 24-year-old, which Fabrizio Romano has now dismissed. The transfer expert has claimed in a column for CaughtOffside that “no talks” are taking place and that a €150m offer is not being prepared for his signature.
It is good news for Chelsea, though it looks like they could still find it difficult to lure him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Leao recently stated that his future is at Milan in a blow to potential suitors.
Manchester City not preparing bid for Chelsea target Rafael Leao
City, for now, are one problem Chelsea do not have to worry about if they are planning to make a move for Leao this summer.
Again, the player’s current stance still makes a move to Stamford Bridge unlikely, but if the Blues could somehow get a deal done for him, he would be an incredible acquisition.

Leao would improve Chelsea’s attack drastically and would be such an upgrade on someone like Mykhailo Mudryk, who has only scored three league goals this season.
Leao has actually not done that much better, netting four times, but last term he registered 15 goals in Serie A. He is also still a very dangerous dribbler. As per WhoScored, the Portugal international is completing two dribbles per game, which is the highest average in Milan’s squad.
Ultimately, while Leao has not been at his best in front of goal this season, it is still easy to see why Chelsea would want him. However, unfortunately for the Blues, it does not look like they will be able to convince the former Lille man to move to west London this summer.
