Nottingham Forest have agreed a fee with Arsenal for Matt Turner, talkSPORT understands.
The fee is understood to be in the region of £7million to take him to the City Ground.
Steve Cooper’s side are still interested in signing Dean Henderson from Manchester United as well, with Turner expected to provide competition for the goalkeeper’s jersey.
For Nottingham Forest, the hope is that added competition between the sticks will help the club to kick on after their 16th place finish last term following their promotion to the Premier League,
Turner completed a move to north London in the summer of 2022 in order to provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale.
Over the course of the campaign, the 29-year-old was limited in first team opportunities, making just seven appearances in all competitions.
Turner’s likely departure will also pave the way for Arsenal to bring in another new goalkeeper this summer.
The Gunners are discussions with Brentford over a move for David Raya, whom the Bees value at £40million.
While a deal has not yet been agreed, Mikel Arteta’s side are said to be confident of getting a deal done, paving the way for Turner to complete his move to the City Ground.
