Chelsea have reportedly shown an interest in signing one attacker from Bayern Munich.
Chelsea recently made a move for Leroy Sane, according to Sport, whose report claims that Barcelona and Liverpool were also keen on the winger.
However, the same outlet states that Sane is likely to sign a new contract at Bayern after leaving agent Fali Ramadani for Christian Schmid, who has a good relationship with the German club.
The 28-year-old has been a key player for former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel this season. In 20 Bundesliga appearances, he has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists.
Sane joined Bayern from Manchester City in a £54.8m (Sky Sports) deal nearly four years ago.
Chelsea should try to sign Leroy Sane in the summer
If Chelsea did make a recent attempt to sign Sane and failed, then they should try again in the next transfer window.
As his stats from this season show, the German is a very productive wide man. He has also already proven that he can do it in the Premier League after his successful stint at City.

It is hard to see a german leaving Bayern for Chelsea, especially with the state Mauricio Pochettino‘s side are currently in.
But if Sane does not sign a new contract, with his current deal set to expire next year, then the Blues have to test the waters.
The former City man is such a dangerous winger who would be an upgrade on someone like Mykhailo Mudryk, for example.
Mudryk’s end product is still not quite there yet, registering just two assists in the Premier League this term, and he was recently criticised by one talkSPORT pundit after Chelsea’s 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Again, though, we cannot imagine Sane leaving the biggest club in German football for an 11th-placed Chelsea side who are unlikely to be in Europe next season.
