Chelsea now look to have finalised their shortlist for the club’s next manager.
The Blues are searching for a new man for the dugout after Mauricio Pochettino‘s exit on Tuesday.
Loads of names have been linked with the club, including Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca.
Both men appear to be on Chelsea’s shortlist, with it even being claimed that the latter is the main candidate for the job as things stand.
However, it looks like Chelsea have cooled their interest in two other managers.
Chelsea’s four-man shortlist
According to The Telegraph, McKenna, Maresca, Thomas Frank and an unknown name have all made the final cut.
At this point, it would be a surprise if Chelsea did not end up with McKenna or Maresca.
Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness and Girona’s Michel were also on the Blues’ list.
However, the same report from The Telegraph has claimed that Chelsea have cooled their interest in both managers, making it likely that they appoint one of the names above.

Even if Hoeness and Michel were still in the equation, Chelsea’s shortlist of potential managers to replace Pochettino would not have been a great one.
Both managers have done well this season at their respective clubs, with Hoeness guiding Stuttgart to second in the Bundesliga, above Bayern Munich, and Michel securing third place for Girona.
The likes of McKenna and Maresca will also be pleased with what they have accomplished this term, both winning promotion to the Premier League.
However, these are all managers who have only tasted a bit of success recently and have not managed a club the size of Chelsea.
They all would be a gamble for one reason or another, yet the decision-makers at Chelsea seem to have no problem with that. You would imagine, though, that Blues fans, who have watched their club win everything and managed by elite coaches like Thomas Tuchel and Jose Mourinho, will not be happy with that shortlist.
