Reports have claimed that Chelsea have begun to look elsewhere after it was claimed that their number one transfer target is the source of interest elsewhere in Europe.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are considering other options after it was made clear that they were not the only horse in the race to sign Victor Osimhen from Italy this summer.
Reports emerged yesterday that the Napoli striker was at the top of the list for PSG to potentially replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappe, who looks set to join Real Madrid despite admiration from the Blues in the past.
This puts a spanner in the works of Chelsea’s transfer plans at the end of this season, when it was expected by many that they would be pushing for the Nigerian international to come in to try and solve their goalscoring woes.
However, in a market where an elite number nine is difficult to come by, it is important that they don’t go all in on Osimhen in case they are not successful.

This is perhaps why reports are beginning to break that they are lining up a list of alternatives, with two names coming to the forefront.
Ivan Toney and Evan Ferguson have been mentioned as potential picks for the club to bring in.

Toney has picked up exactly where he left off since returning from his ban earlier this season, scoring in near enough every game since his return.

Ferguson meanwhile has shown that he has all the traits required to be a Premier League star, despite his young age.
If the club had to choose right now, they should certainly look at Toney as the more finished product who can come in and make the instant impact on this club in the final third that it needs.
