There’s been recent transfer rumours linking a £100m player with a potential move to Stamford Bridge, but the chances of Chelsea completing the signing has been shut down by a BBC pundit.

It’s certainly a fear of the unknown for Chelsea supporters going into this upcoming summer transfer window. With some of the poor business conducted under these owners in the last couple of years, you could understand if some are worried.

For now, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have four games left in their season to try finish strongly and snatch a European spot in the Premier League.

One of the biggest obstacles in the season has been the youth and inexperience in this expensively assembled squad.

So, will the club look to rectify that by signing a bit more know-how in the summer?

Chelsea linked with Manchester City star

Interestingly, Manchester City and England winger Jack Grealish is the high-profile name linked with Chelsea recently.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported via Substack this week that Chelsea have internally discussed Man City’s Grealish as a target. Apparently, there’s a belief in the industry that the 28-year-old left-winger may be available this summer.

He’s only got three goals and three assists in 35 games across all competitions this season for his club.

Charlie Adam doesn’t expect Jack Grealish to end up at Chelsea

BBC pundit Charlie Adam has reacted to the Chelsea rumours with Grealish by saying he doesn’t believe them and he can’t imagine the player following in the footsteps of Cole Palmer.

“I think it’s just a bit of publicity of Grealish leaving, people maybe wanting him to go to Chelsea. I don’t believe it,” Adam told BBC Radio 5 Live (7:24pm, 3 May).

For what it’s worth, Grealish is a potential target that does interest us given his skillset and experience. We’d be equally surprised if this ends up happening as well, though.

The skilful attacker hasn’t really lived up to the £100m transfer fee (Sky Sports) Man City paid Aston Villa for Grealish back in 2021, but he could be immense in the Chelsea ranks for the right price.
